This past summer I found myself unexpectedly looking for my next position. While working my search, I took a contract position as recruiter for a local company. During the day I was a recruiter looking at resumes, cover letters etc. recruiting candidates for sales and engineering positions. At night and on weekends I was writing my own resume and cover letter looking for my next position.
Looking at resumes and talking with candidates I learned some things to help my own search. Unfortunately I also got to see the frustrating side of being a candidate in a job search. I’d like to say it sped up my search, it didn’t, and I was more patient with the process as a candidate, only God can give me more patience, but I did learn things that can help your search and understanding of the search process.

Experience with both public and private companies in the manufacturing, consumer products, retail, distribution, and professional services sectors. David is a founding member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG).
