How to play:
There are two ways to play
- Download the Kahoot! App to your mobile device. https://kahoot.com/home/mobile-app/
- Play online at https://kahoot.it/
The host will display the Kahoot Game ID on the screen. Enter the Game ID onto the Kahoot app or online to enter the game
Enter your name or nickname
After everyone has entered the game, the host will start the game
The host will share the Kahoot questions and answer choices in the shared Zoom window. You must be able to see both your device and the Zoom shared screen to view the questions and select your answers. If playing on your laptop, it will be easier if you have two windows open. The questions and answers are NOT displayed in the player screen, only on the host screen (zoom window).
Your device will display 4 color choices corresponding to the answer choices on the question screen. (Each option will also have a shape displayed for color blind players.) The answers will also appear in the same sequence on both screens.
- Green = square
- Yellow = circle
- Blue = diamond
- Red = triangle
Each question is worth 1000 points. The faster you input a correct answer, the more points you earn.
You will have 20-30 seconds to answer the question. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so if you don’t know, guess within the allotted time.
After each question, the correct answer will be revealed and you will see how many people chose each answer. Then the rankings will be updated and you will see leaderboard.
Just so everyone gets comfortable with the game, we will start with a super-easy 4-question game to test the platform. Then we will launch into the 20 question game.
