Indiana Tech Presentation

During the 2018 Fall Semester Indiana Tech had a guest speaker come and talk to them about all of the great things that IMA had to offer and about getting your CMA. We talked about the value that IMA offers to students and young professionals. Some of the questions we received were around public accounting vs. industry and how IMA can help to be better positioned in today’s labor market. We talked about training opportunities that IMA provides including webinars, chapter events, annual conference and student leadership conferences. We think it’s extremely important to continue developing relationships with local colleges and universities. We are in the works of starting up a student chapter at Indiana Tech for all of the Fort Wayne schools that would be interested! We hope to bring something good back to Fort Wayne and trying to keep it here.

Lincoln Trail Regional Council Board Meeting & Social Event

On August 3-4, the Indianapolis Chapter hosted the Lincoln Trail Regional Council Board Meeting and social events.  We kicked off the weekend with a social event at the newly opened Sun King Spirits Taproom & Distillery in Carmel, Indiana on the evening of August 3. 

On Saturday morning, the council held its board meeting at the offices of Elevate Ventures.  After the board meeting, Rhonda Tamulonis of When You Leave the Room.  Rhonda gave a terrific CPE presentation on Presenting Financial Data to Non-Financial People.

Following the meeting, we met up at the original Sun King taproom in downtown Indianapolis for a tour of the brewery operations.

Venture Capital Panel Discussion at Elevate Ventures

On October 17, 2017, the Indianapolis Chapter met at the Offices of Elevate Ventures for a panel discussion on Venture Capital.  Moderated by Indianapolis Chater board member, Barbara Uggen-Davis CPA, the panel included:
