President

Veronica Gabbard, CMA

Veronica is the proprietor of Business Managed, a boutique Bookkeeping and Business Management Firm. She has an MBA in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University, has 10 years of experience working in non-profit and small business management, and has been an IMA member and CMA since 2015. Veronica lives in Indianapolis with her husband and son. In her spare time she loves spending quality time with family and friends and loves traveling.

David Eaton

David Eaton recently retired from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Dec Image preview ember 2020 after serving in federal service for 35 years. During his tenure, his primary career focus was in major business systems acquisition, deployment, and related efficiency initiatives. In this capacity, he served in roles ranging from director of various organizational elements to project manager. David earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Fort Valley State University. Also, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Executive Development for Public Service from Ball State University, as well as, a Master of Science in Technology from Purdue University. David is a Certified Management Accountant. His wife, Vivian, and he live in Lawrence. They have two adult sons. Cycling is one of David’s current passions but also, he enjoys variety of other outdoor activities, photography, and jazz music. He is a member of several professional and civic organizations as well as he is active as a community volunteer.

Joshua Cooley

Josh Cooley is the Director of Student Activities with the Indianapolis IMA chapter. Prior to joining, Josh has spent the past ten years working various roles and functions in finance and accounting. He currently is a Sr. Finance Coordinator at PLTW, a company that creates a transformative approach to learning and STEM education and has been part of the company for four years. He attended Indiana State University (BS Legal Studies) and Ivy Tech (AAS Accounting) and is currently on track to earning the CMA certification.

Jack Hiatt

Jack Hiatt serves as the Manager of Treasury Accounting at Indiana University Health. He completed his undergraduate degree from Marian University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and received his Master of Science degree in Supply Chain Management from the Academy of International Modern Studies in 2020. Jack went on to earn his Certified Management Accountant certification in April 2022 shortly after welcoming his newborn son. Jack is also a Certified Global Business Professional and Certified Scrum Master He has experience in the fields of public accounting, fund administration, and investment accounting. Jack has been a member of IMA since 2021. Jack is an active member of the Indianapolis tennis community. He is an avid hunter and enjoys playing softball for Circle City Athletics. Jack resides on the southside of Indianapolis with his wife and son.

Dan Levy

After serving nine years in the Army as an Airborne Infantryman, Dan received is degree from IUPUI majoring in accounting and finance in 2020. Following graduation Dan worked in public accounting for a couple years. He has since moved to the private sector and now works as a Senior Accountant for Simon Property Group in the Financial Reporting Department. Dan enjoys playing hockey every winter and travelling as much as possible.

Victoria Smith, CMA

Currently works as Deputy Controller for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles of the State of Indiana. Victoria has MS in Electronics Engineering from Russia and 17 years of financial analysis experience in various telecoms, cable industry, manufacturing and public accounting. She has been an IMA member since 2002 and an active board member holding different positions such as VP of Education, President and Treasurer. Victoria has three children and lives in Noblesville, Indiana.

Barbara Uggen-Davis, CMA, CPA

Barbara Uggen-Davis is the Chief Financial Officer at Elevate Ventures, a 501(c)3 non-profit venture development organization. Barbara has over 30 years of experience in accounting, purchasing, operations management, IT infrastructure, logistics, and human resources for small to mid-sized organizations in business services, oil & gas, medical products, technology, and military.

She is an active community volunteer, serving as the VP of Member Engagement for the IMA’s Lincoln Trail Regional Council and is current Secretary and past Co-President of the Indianapolis IMA Chapter. Barbara is also Treasurer for Footlite Musicals, a non-profit community musical theater. Over the years, she has served in executive committee roles on the boards of directors for non-profits in the disability and refugee service areas and currently volunteers in the emergency/disaster response arena with Team Rubicon.

Barbara holds an MBA in Business Management and Business Information Systems from City University with President’s Honors for Meritorious Scholastic Achievement and holds a BA in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration from the University of Washington.
