Venture Club Luncheon Event: Cap Table: Purpose and Parts

We will be discussing how to build a capitalization table. Although, we will not be diving deep into the topic; we will cover liquidation preferences, the difference between common and preferred (convertible) stock in hopes that you will walk away with an understanding of what dilution means. We will not be covering waterfall distribution and please note, that this will not be legal or financial advice.

Ben Pidgeon is a 15-year veteran of the banking industry, joining VisionTech Partners/VisionTech Angels as the organization’s first executive director in 2016. Ben joined VisionTech to continue to expand our role in Indiana and across the Midwest in supporting business startups, innovation, commercialization, and job creation. Ben’s focus optimizing VisionTech’s growth, recruiting qualified investors, and attracting and evaluating investment opportunities for our members. Ben is also the president of the Venture Club of Indiana and is a member of its Board of Directors.
